Description
1980 Topps Burger King Phillies is a 23-card set distributed to Burger King restaurants in the Eastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey, and Delaware areas. Collectors would receive a pack of three cards plus one un-numbered checklist with the purchase of a large order of french fries. Like previous Topps/Burger King sets, the design is identical to that of the 1980 Topps set. However, this was the first Burger King set to carry the Burger King logo and hence does not generate the same confusion that previous year's sets.
Despite the ample supply, the set remains popular among Phillies fans as a memento of their first World Series winning team.
Distribution
A pack of three cards plus one unnumbered checklist per pack. One pack was to be given out with the purchase of a large order of french fries.
