Description
2006 Topps Heritage NSCC is a five-card set. One set was distributed to collectors who attended the 2006 National Sports Collectors Convention in Anaheim, CA and purchased a VIP package. The set features five "cards that never were" from the 1955 Topps and 1956 Topps sets. Mickey Mantle's trading card rights were the property of Bowman in '55, and both Frank Robinson and Brooks Robinson did not appear in a Topps set until 1957. Card #342 commemorates Duke Snider leading the National League in Home Runs for 1956 and #344 celebrates Mickey Mantle winning the '56 AL Triple Crown.
NOTE: Each card measures 2 5/8" X 3 3/4", the same size as the '55 and '56 Topps sets.
