2001 Fleer Derek Jeter Legacy Collection was a proposed 22-card high-end boxed set that was eventually inserted into packs of various 2001 and 2002 Fleer baseball products.  The set was patterned after the successful [[2000 Upper Deck Yankees Master Collection]], and was to have been limited to only 1000 sets.  The entire 22-card base set was inserted into packs of [[2002 Fleer Showcase]].  Autographed and game-used cards from this set eventually found their way into '02 Fleer Showcase, [[2001 Fleer Legacy]], and [[2002 Fleer Maximum]].

The set was patterned after the successful 2000 Upper Deck Yankees Master Collection, and was to have been limited to only 1000 sets. The entire 22-card base set was inserted into packs of 2002 Fleer Showcase.
