Description
2006 SP Authentic is a 300-card set released by Upper Deck exclusively to Hobby outlets in December 13, 2006. Each 24-pack Hobby box is expected to yield three autographs and two WBC Future Stars inserts.
The base set consists of a 100 card short-set and 100 short-prints, each serial-numbered to 899 copies. The final 100 cards make up the "Rookie Authentic Signatures" subset, with each card serial-numbered from as much as 899 to as little as 125 copies.
2006 SP Authentic marked the debut of the much-maligned "By The Letter" autographed manufactured letter patch cards.
Distribution
24 packs per box, five cards per pack (MSRP: $4.99). 12 boxes per case. Hobby only.
