Description
The 2010 Upper Deck Baseball set was released the first week of February, 2010. Upper Deck's license with Major League Baseball Properties (MLBP) expired at the end of 2009, and UD was tight-lipped as to their plans for 2010 --- going as far as not releasing sell-sheets and card mock-ups to The Hobby.
In late January, 2009, just a few days before 2010 Upper Deck went live, Upper Deck released their first unlicensed products: "2009" Ultimate Collection and "2009" Signature Stars. Shortly thereafter, UD was sued by Major League Baseball Properties and Topps for copyright infringement for depicting players in their MLB uniforms.
