Card Show: A gathering of sports card and memorabilia collectors and dealers.

The first "card shows," began in the early 1970’s. Today, there are dozens and dozens of card shows being held every weekend all over the United States. A complete listing of card shows is published in every month's Beckett Baseball Monthly magazine.

Shows fall into one of two types: Smaller regional shows attended by local dealers and collectors, usually setup in a local shopping mall or motel ball room, and large national shows attended by dealers and collectors from all over the United States.

The largest, and most important, sports collectibles show is the annual National Sports Collectors Convention ("The National"), held each Summer in a different major city. Other major shows include the annual "East Coast National" held every summer in White Plains, NY, and the quarterly "Philly Show" in Valley Forge, PA.
