After a three-year hiatus, Topps brought back Topps Traded in 1999. Distributed exclusively as a factory set, [[1999 Topps Traded]] is a 121-card set released in November 1999. Each factory set includes one of 75 rookie autographs.
+
[[1993 Cardtoons]] is a 95-card parody set intended for release in 1993, but not issued until over a year later. This completely unlicensed set uses cartoon caricatures on its fronts to parody then-active MLB players. The backs carry comical "career highlights" within silver-colored panels on the left sides and team logo caricatures on the right sides.

Topps also produced a Chrome version, however Topps Chrome Traded does not contain any autographs.

Key rookie cards include: Josh Hamilton, C.C. Sabathia, Carl Crawford, Adam Dunn, and Alfonso Soriano.
+
This product was the subject of a seven-year long court battle between the producers and the MLB Players Association -- a case eventually won by Cardtoons.

[[2015 Topps Archives]] is a 330-card set released June 10th, and based the designs of the 1957, 1976, and 1983 Topps Baseball sets. The last 30 cards are short-printed (see below). Each 24-pack Hobby box will yield two autographs.

[[2018 Bowman Platinum]] is a 100-card set supplemented by a 100-card Top Prospects insert set, released in late June. For the third consecutive year, Bowman Platinum will be distributed exclusively to Walmart stores.

Originally, according to Topps' original product solicitations, Archives was advertised as having a 300 card base set with no short-prints. It wasn't until almost a week before the product's release, buried in the fine-print of the official checklist and long after pre-orders had been paid for by dealers and collectors, that there was any mention from Topps of the existence of any additional short-printed base cards.

While in previous years, Topps Archives has had short-printed base cards, they had all been previously announced by Topps either in the product's solicitations ("sell-sheets") and/or in press releases to The Hobby media. Also, in 2012, 2013, and 2014 Topps Archives the short-prints were attainable -- usually around 40-50 SPs per set and falling at the rate of six to eight per Hobby box. According to early reports, the odds of finding one of the 30 short-printed base cards in 2015 Archives is 1:70/packs, and the estimated production of each is around 500 copies.

Set of the Month

1993 Cardtoons is a 95-card parody set intended for release in 1993, but not issued until over a year later. This completely unlicensed set uses cartoon caricatures on its fronts to parody then-active MLB players. The backs carry comical "career highlights" within silver-colored panels on the left sides and team logo caricatures on the right sides.

This product was the subject of a seven-year long court battle between the producers and the MLB Players Association -- a case eventually won by Cardtoons.
