[[1995 Post Canada]] is an 18-card set, produced by Upper Deck. Each box of Post-branded breakfast cereal distributed in Canada had one card inside, with an offer sheet for a factory set printed on the back of the box. The cards carry both English and French text.

[[1999 E-X Century]] was produced by Fleer/Skybox and was a 120-card set distributed exclusively to Hobby outlets. For a fourth consecutive year, this brand continued its theme of depth on a card through the use of multiple card stock layers. Similar to the previous year's set, acetate was the foundation for each base card: The "top" layer featured the player photo over a colored holographic crescent that accented the player's team colors. This layer was embedded in the the transparent, uncolored "bottom" acetate layer, which featured the player nameplate and position in silver holographic foil, his team's logo, and the "E-X Century" logo in etched foil; additionally, this same layer of acetate also featured a shadow of the player's nameplate and an enlarged shadow of the player's team logo that was offset to create the illusion of a 3-D effect on the acetate. Due to the majority of the card being acetate, the card back was a non-holographic mirror image of the front.

The set was approved by the MLB Players Association, but not by MLB Properties so the logos are airbrushed out.

The set contained a 30-card Rookie short-printed subset (91-120) that was inserted at a rate of 1:2 packs. The only notable Rookie Card in the set was of Pat Burrell.

The numbering of the base set was subjectively arranged to have top current stars in the game featured first in the set, semi-stars next, minor-stars after, and the young stars featured last - this arrangement was key to the serial-numbering rationale for the Essential Credentials parallel sets.

Set of the Month

1999 E-X Century was produced by Fleer/Skybox and was a 120-card set distributed exclusively to Hobby outlets.

2019 Topps Diamond Icons was released July 10th -- a month and a half earlier than last year's product. Each ten-card box will contain: one Relic, seven autographs, and a pair of autographed Relics. Every other box will yield a cut signature. All cards are serial-numbered to 25 copies or fewer.

2019 Bowman Platinum is a 100-card set supplemented by a 100-card Top Prospects insert set, scheduled for release July 3rd. For the fourth consecutive year, Bowman Platinum will be distributed exclusively to Walmart stores.

2019 Stadium Club is a 301-card set released June 26th. Each 16-pack Hobby box will yield a pair of autographs.

2019 Topps Museum Collection is a 100-card set released June 19th. Each pack will contain either an autograph or a relic. Each four-pack box will yield the following:

  • A Canvas Collection insert
  • A base set parallel
  • A "premium" Relic
  • A Quad Relic
  • An Autograph
  • An Autographed Relic

2019 Topps Series Two is a 350-card set released June 12th.

2019 Finest is a 126-card set released by Topps on June 5th. Each box will yield two autographs.

2019 Leather and Lumber is a 151-card set released by Panini America May 29th. Each ten-card Hobby pack will yield an autograph, a game-used card, and four base cards and four inserts.

2019 Topps Definitive Collection was released May 29th. An all "hit" product, each eight-card box will yield six on-card autographs and two Relics.

2019 Topps Pro Debut is a 200-card Minor League set released May 22nd. Each 24-pack Hobby box will yield two Relics and two autographs.

2019 Panini Prizm is a 300-card set released May 15th. This is the first Prizm set in four years. Each 12-card Hobby pack will contain one Prizm parallel and one insert. Every fourth Hobby pack will yield an autograph.

2019 Topps Big League is a 400-card set released May 15th. Like the the previous year's product, it is targeted toward young collectors.

2019 Topps Tier One was released May 8th -- a couple of weeks earlier than last year's set. As usual, all cards are either autographs or relics and there is no base set in the traditional sense. Each three-card box will contain two autographs and a relic.

2019 Bowman was released April 17th -- about a week earlier than last year. Each Hobby box will yield one autograph, one Bowman Sterling insert, and one Chrome Prospect Atomic Refractor. Hobby Jumbo boxes will contain three autographs and two Bowman Sterling inserts.

2019 Diamond Kings was released by Panini April 9th. The base set is 150 cards with the last 50 short-printed, and twenty variations. Each Hobby pack will contain a card from one of seventeen insert sets. In addition, each 12-pack Hobby box will yield four parallels, one game-used memorabilia card, and an autograph.

2019 Topps Gypsy Queen is a 320-card set released March 27th. Each 24-pack Hobby box will yield two autographs and a pack of three Hobby only Chrome parallels.

2019 Topps Inception is a 100-card set released exclusively to Hobby outlets on March 20th -- three months earlier than the previous year's product. Each seven-card box will contain four base cards, two parallels, and an autograph.

2019 Topps Opening Day was released March 13th. As usual, the base set is a rehash of 200 cards from the Topps flagship. Each pack will yield one insert -- which are original to the product.

2019 Donruss is a 252-card set released by Panini America on March 6th. Each Hobby box will yield three autographs/game-used cards.

2019 Topps Heritage is a 500-card set released February 27th, 2018. The last 100 cards are short-printed. In keeping with the brand's aesthetic, the design is based on the 1970 Topps set. Each Hobby box will, as usual, yield a relic, an autograph or an autographed relic.

2019 Topps Series One is a 350-card set released January 30th -- although packs began showing up at mass market retail outlets a week earlier. This year's flagship has as its theme a celebration of Professional Baseball's 150th Anniversary, with Anniversary-themed inserts and parallels serial-numbered to 150 copies.

A big change to the product are the sheer number of non-parallel, non-"hit based," inserts. While, in recent years, Topps Baseball has had a massive number of inserts, for 2019 both the size of most insert sets and the insertion ratios have been greatly increased.

Also notable is a reduction in the size of the standard Hobby waxbox from 36 packs to 24 -- although the number of cards in each Hobby pack was enlarged from ten to fourteen.
