1994 Fleer
Description
1994 Fleer was a 720-card set. The card design featuring a simple white border with player team logo and gold-foil nampelate was well received by collectors and viewed as one of Fleer's best designed products.
There were no notable rookies in the set as the Alex Rodriguez rookie card was in 1994 Fleer Update.
This set was notable as it marked the beginning of improved insert card designs in the Flagship set - beginning with this year's set, cards began to look more aesthetically pleasing, distinct from base cards, and individually unique from other inserts in the set.
Recognizing the "Insert Mania" craze of the 1990s that began in these early years of the decade, Fleer put out 12 inserts plus autograph inserts in this year's set.
Separate from the 1994 base set was a 25-card promotional set called 1994 Fleer Sunoco.

Inserts
Tim Salmon A.L. Rookie of the Year
This 15-card set exclusively featured Tim Salmon, the face of this year's product. The first twelve cards in the set were randomly inserted across all pack types at the rate of 1:30 packs. Cards 13-15 were only available via a redemption program - to receive these three cards, collectors had to mail $1.50 and ten 1994 Fleer wrappers to an address listed on the wrapper. The wrapper redemption offer expired September 30, 1994.
Salmon also autographed 2000 cards from this set and these autographed cards were also inserted into packs (see below).
