2009 Topps Allen & Ginter World's Champions
Description
The set features 300 cards with 50 short-printed cards.
The 2009 edition of Topps Allen & Ginter's World Champions was released the week of July 8th, 2009. Topps was suppose to release this July 1st, 2009 but was pushed backward to July 8.
The 350-card base set consists of 260 baseball players, 30 rookies, 35 historic figures and 25 world champions.
The Ginter Code also returns for the 2nd year, with a card (#338) of the person who cracked the 1st code from 2008, Jason Wong.
Each Allen & Ginter 24-Count Hobby Box contains a combination of any three of the following cards: Autograph, Cut Signature, Rip, Relic, Printing Plate. Each Hobby box will also include either an N-43 or Cabinet Box Loader.

Framed Autographs

- All eight Michael Phelps autographs are also available in a one-of-one Gold parallel. It is unclear if Red Ink cards for the Phelps autographs exist.
- In addition, as a reward for Cracking the Ginter Code, the winners received a complete set of Framed Autographs, each with it's own one-of-one distinctive frame.
Red Ink
Each Framed Autograph is also available in a Red Ink parallel which is hand-numbered to ten copies. Red Inks are unframed and embedded inside Rip Cards and framed in inserted into packs.
NOTES:
- Sixteen players had all ten of their Red Ink cards embedded inside Rip Cards and are unframed. Those players are: Cameron Maybin, David Ortiz, Evan Longoria, Hanley Ramirez, Jay Bruce, Joba Chamberlain, Josh Johnson, Jonathan Papelbon, Kolan McConiughey, Mike Metzger, Scott Olsen, Steve Wiebe, Troy Tulowitzki, Bryan Berg, Mike Lowell, and Robbie Maddison.
- Red Ink for the following all packed out as redemptions: Cat Osterman, Shani Davis, Ryan Braun, Miguel Cabrera, and Alex Rios. Only one known Red Ink of the Osterman and Braun have ever emerged. Topps never produced a Red Ink of Rios.

N-43 Relics
Each N-43 Relic is serial-numbered to 25 copies and features a number of players (like Yu Darvish, Yuli Gourriel, and Norichika Aoki) who played in the 2009 World Baseball Classic, and would, in later years, make their way to the Major Leagues.

This unannounced gimmick "autograph" of The Invisible Man is signed in an invisible ink. The card must be held to a black light to view the signature. Only ten copies were made.
