1995 Zenith
Description
1995 Zenith Edition is a 150-card set released in August, 1995. Zenith was Pinnacle Brands' first foray into a "super-premium" product to compete with Topps' Finest, Fleer's Flair, Donruss' Leaf Limited, and Upper Deck's SP. The cards are made of thick stock and borderless.
The naming of the brand is conspicuously redundant as "pinnacle" and "zenith" are synonyms. The front design features an Egyptian pyramid apparently alluding to the Arabic word Zenith.
Included is a subset of 40 Rookies (111-150). Most of the base set is in alphabetical order by first name with a few exceptions.
Notable Rookie Cards in this set include Bobby Higginson and Hideo Nomo.
