<!-- --> =Description= 1996 Pinnacle FanFest is a 30-card set released in conjunction with the 1996 Major League All-Star Game FanFest in Philadelphia (of which, Pinnacle Brands was the presenting sponsor). Each attendee received a 2-card pack with each admission. Card #30 of Phillies All-Star catcher Darren Daulton uses lenticular technology and was inserted at a rate of about 1:60 packs. Card #31 of Steve Carlton was intended to be laminated and used for the official FanFest badges; but apparently, some loose cards also were given to FanFest volunteers. The Carlton card is not considered part of the complete set. Five other "inserts" (which all have the design but no foil stamping or UV coating) were also issued by Pinnacle as part of the celebration. These five cards feature different personalities (most of whom are non-baseball related) involved in the show. The set is considered complete at 30 cards with the Daulton SP. =Distribution= =Reviews= =Checklist= ==Base Set== https://img.comc.com/i/Baseball/1996/Pinnacle-All-Star-FanFest---Base/3/Ken-Griffey-Jr.jpg?id=c1679f0b-0b8a-401b-a0a3-778502864e58&size=original&side=front&.jpg https://img.comc.com/i/Baseball/1996/Pinnacle-All-Star-FanFest---Base/3/Ken-Griffey-Jr.jpg?id=c1679f0b-0b8a-401b-a0a3-778502864e58&size=original&side=back&.jpg NOTES * Card #30 is a Sportflix-style lenticular card that was short-printed. * Card #31 was intended to be used as part of the FanFest's credential badge. Some loose copies of this card made their way into the hands of volunteers and VIPs. The FanFest set is considered complete without card #31. <sql2wiki database="carddb"> SELECT num, player, info FROM cards WHERE (year = 1996) AND (setname = 'Pinnacle FanFest'); </sql2wiki> ==Parallels== ===Playing Cards=== https://img.comc.com/i/Baseball/1996/Pinnacle-All-Star-FanFest---Playing-Card-Stock/WABO/Wade-Boggs.jpg?id=f68f4a2a-e438-4606-9d93-b4a0a8f251a8&size=original&side=front&.jpg https://img.comc.com/i/Baseball/1996/Pinnacle-All-Star-FanFest---Playing-Card-Stock/WABO/Wade-Boggs.jpg?id=f68f4a2a-e438-4606-9d93-b4a0a8f251a8&size=original&side=back&.jpg The entire 30-card FanFest set is also available in a "playing card" parallel. Each card has rounded corners (like a playing card) and has the Pinnacle logo on the reverse side. These cards were part of a "house of cards" display at FanFest. ==Inserts== These "inserts" featuring various Philadelphia-related celebrities and politicians were unavailable in the packs distributed to FanFest attendees. Rather, they were issued directly to the celebrities and various other VIPs. Unlike the base set, none of the cards are foil-stamped or UV coated. <sql2wiki database="carddb"> SELECT num, player, info FROM cards WHERE (year = 1996) AND (setname = 'Pinnacle FanFest Inserts') ORDER By num ASC; </sql2wiki>
