Description

In 1997, Pinnacle Brands, in association with American Airlines, issued this commemorative Dufex card of Brooks Robinson. Not much is known about this card or how it was distributed, and any assistance would be appreciated.

This card appears to have been distributed inside a custom four-screw Lucite "brick" holder -- which were common in the 90s. The brick had the American Airlines logo with the following words.

MPI - BALTIMORE
CAMDEN YARDS
AUGUST 2, 1997

This does not appear to have been a stadium giveaway, as the Orioles were away in Oakland on the date listed. MPI is a printing and labelling company with a plant in Baltimore. They also had a plant down the street from Pinnacle Brands' headquarters in Grand Prairie, Texas.
