[[2004 Upper Deck Vintage]] is a 500-card set release in two series. The first 450 cards were issued as part of the Vintage series on February 02, 2004. The final 150 cards in the Vintage series (cards #301-#450) are short-printed and seeded into packs at varying levels.

[[1999 Skybox Molten Metal]] is a 150-card set released in July 1999. The set is fractured into three subsets: Metal Smiths (cards 1-100) Heavy Metal subset (101-130, one-per-pack), and Supernatural (#131-#150, 1:2/packs). The cards are printed on 24-point foil-board cardstock.
+
The last 50 cards in the set (cards #451-#500) are known as the Update Series and were distributed exclusively as a factory set inside Hobby boxes of 2004 Upper Deck Series Two. Each Series Two Hobby box came with an unmarked and shrink-wrapped Update Set box from one of four possible 2004 Upper Deck early-season products: Vintage, Reflections, Play Ball, and SP Game Used Patch. Collectors had to break the shrink wrap to figure out which set they received; however, about two-thirds of the sets were Vintage.

A special edition of Molten Metal, with an exclusive Atlanta Braves-centric insert, was available to dealers who set up at the 1999 National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlanta.

Set of the Month

2004 Upper Deck Vintage is a 500-card set release in two series. The first 450 cards were issued as part of the Vintage series on February 02, 2004. The final 150 cards in the Vintage series (cards #301-#450) are short-printed and seeded into packs at varying levels.
