1994 SP is a 200-card set released in August, 1994. The first 20 cards in the set make up a Premiere Prospects subset which are printed on etched-foil. The remainder of the set is in alphabetical order by team nickname and printed on foilboard. Additionally, this year's release would be the only time the entire SP/SP Authentic base set would be printed on foil.
This set was notable for featuring holographic imagery of player's faces in the Holoview inserts, which later became a staple of brand through 1997.
Rookie Cards include Chan Ho Park, Derrek Lee, and Alex Rodriguez.
